Week 3, Theme Park challenge

What is the best theme park? Of course the one you get in for free. There are so many theme parks. But there is only one original. Disneyland. I din’t wan to get into trouble with Disney and copy any of his parks. I know their copyright sharks can be very intimidating and if I display anything out of that theme park, I’m sure I get into trouble. So I was looking at something that everyone recognises but it’s not a copy.

I have never been in Disneyland. I think as kids we went once to Europark. I think that’s what it was called. I suppose it was something very similar. We didn’t meed theme parks as kids. we had a forrest nearby and all the entertainment we wanted. Here in Australia we went to a few of those big ones at the Gold Coast. If you are in the area you might as well go in and see what all the fuzz is about. don’t ever go in peak season or school holiday.

In this illustration the kids got in before the gates open. They are curious and managed to get to the highest point, the castle tower. If you look careful you can see them other two right at the bottom. they look like ants. Of course they have a good time there. I have never seen a kid who didn’t enjoy a theme park.

The cartoon was a tricky one to draw. The perspective was challenging. It has a fisheye look to it. I have never done one like that. I sketched a rough one on paper and then scanned it. In Photoshop I was working on improving it. That what this program does best. I could move things around and change positions until I was happy with the result. the colouring was another annoying part. But more about the colouring in another cartoon.
