Melbourne weather
What is the weather going to be in Melbourne? How about the Yarra Valley? Well, if it’s not what you like it to be, wait 5 minutes. This time of the year this is exactly what’s happening.
Hence the cartoon. One day you don’t know how to protect your plants from the searing heat. The next they are floating down the road. Maybe they are as stiff as a post in the frost.
It’s like the sun and clouds are playing Rock-Paper-Scissors. It’s all over the shop. Nothing we can do about it. The weather does what it wants. We just grizzle about it all the time. I reckon this is the victorians favourite past time.
Now you probably want to know how I draw these cartoons? I first have to be on topic. I go through local papers, especially the letters section. If there is nothing interesting I go to the web and other articles. Eventually I find something that is tickling my funny bone.
I then set out to sketch up a scene. I scan it into the computer and do the rest digitally. This time the weather worked best for me. I hope you enjoy it as well.
