Rivals in Motorsport between MotoGP and SBK
Are the two big ones in Motorcycle racing rivals? That depends which one you like to follow. MotoGP or World Super Bikes. I personally prefer the SBK. MotoGP can be a bit sterile at times. I have been at both events life at Phillip Island and I also did the Marshalling at both vents. I noticed a bit of a difference. But being rivals? I don’t know for sure.
The MotoGP crowd seems a bit snobby to me. It’s like they are better than others. It’s also followed by a lot more people. Some of them have never ridden a motorcycle in their life. I’m not trying to divide the two, it’s just an observation. At the Superbikes the atmosphere seems a lot more relaxed. There are less followers per event. It also seems that there are more motorbikes attending the event. Of course there are heaps of dickheads in either sport. But when I want to see is a close race on the track. I don’t really care who is more popular.
I should put the question over to you, dear readers. Maybe you think they are rivals? Maybe you like to form an opinion? You can do that here if you like. Just keep it clean and don’t swear a lot. There are ladies reading this blog as well.
I better let you go and let you think about these rivals. That is if they are actually rivals. Think about it, they are run by the same company. Surely they can’t be rivals. They must work together. After all they are all riding motorcycles. We should all be friends and have a healthy rivalry with car drivers. But that’s a whole other story. Let’s not go there. Enjoy the cartoon.
