INKtober part two, six to ten

Welcome to the second part if the INKtober sketches. This is a lot of fun. If you have a pen, you should give it a go. INKtober is a great exercise on inking. I do it every day and I enjoy it a lot. INKtober is like a daily warm up for my drawings. Let me get through these last lot.

Inkling 06: A locomotive. I started this one as an idea about the TPP. I have the feeling Australia is getting sucked in and we don’t really want to be in it. The politicians do. However, the public is a different thing. A lot of them don’t even know what it is about.

Inkling 07: From a locomotive to a car. I used this INKtober sketch for a case study. I still have to finish a few cars for a friend. I don’t really like drawing cars. But it’s part of my job. I draw what I get paid for. And getting paid is always a hard thing. The INKtober is good at exercising inkings and become faster at it. Oh, this one is a De Soto Thunderbird sketch, just in case you were wondering.

Inklling 08: A gecko. One that is cleaning himself. You know how geckos do that, don’t you? That’s right, with their tongue. I like it how they clean their eyes. It looks so funny. I ended up adding a bit of colour to this one as well at the end. It looks great. You can find it in my Facebook page. You just have to scroll to the October 2015 entries.

Inkling 09: Here it gets a bit weird. I didn’t have any concept of how to draw this one. I started with a couple of eyes and ended up with a skull on a stick. then that didn’t make much sense either so I added an angry mob at the bottom and the skull is complaining about the noise.

Inkling 10: I ended up with a bass player. Or a guitar player. I don’t play an instrument, so you have to excuse me if I made an obvious mistake. I wouldn’t even know with which hand I have to hold a guitar. You see, I’m pretty ambidextrous. I can do a lot of things with both hands. But to that another day.

Please call in again for the next instalment of the inkings.

Danny
