Adrien Brody Caricature
Who is Adrien Brody? An actor with a big nose. You might have seen him in “Grand Budapest Hotel”. Of course he is also in a bunch of other films. I’m not going to list them here. This will be your homework. Just google him and you see what I mean with the big nose.
I have tried a few different things here. Usually I’m drawing it all by hand. I still sketched it by hand onto paper and scanned it. This was more as a reference for me to work out which way I’m going with this caricature. First of all I tried to work out what are the main features on this character. He has a humangomonious schnoz. Whatever that means.
So, I scanned the sketch and then I tried out a new Program. It was on special to download. I like it when I get a bargain. It cost some 22 Aussie bucks. The program? Manga Studio 5 or as the developers also call it Clip Studio Paint. It’s the same thing really. It didn’t take long to download and install.
I then worked on the caricature for about an hour. I didn’t want to waste too much time. It was just to see how it works. And it works well I must say. It hasn’t got all the brushes I like yet. That can be purchased later on down that track. I did the same in Photoshop. It made a huge difference on how I draw today. Sometimes it’s worth to invest some hard earned into brushes. They certainly made a difference in my drawing style, digitally.
I could go on and on, but thesis only to illustrate a new caricature of a guy and a new drawing program. I hope you like it and until next time, have fun practicing.
