Is Rossi the master of San Marino? Simple! Of course he is! But you got to admit, it was a chaotic race. To put it simple: dry start – wet middle – dry finish. Anyone who knows about MotoGP, understands that this race could go any which way.

As usual, Valentino Rossi sports a special design for this round. It is basically his home round. His helmet design showed a small yellow fish followed by a huge shark, representing his competitors. . We all know he means his closest competitor, Jorge Lorenzo.

So this is where I come in. I had this idea with the shark, being Lorenzo, getting distracted by the championship lure. As it turned out, Lorenzo binned it after switching back to the dry setup.

As I mentioned above, the race started dry and then it got wet. In MotoGP they don’t stop the race, riders are allowed to switch to their spare bike which is set up for the wet. But a few laps later the rain stopped and the wet tires got destroyed quickly. that meant they had to go back in and switch to the fry bike.

It was chaos. It was a game of who blinks first. Marquez had to. His tires were shot. It was the best move. He ended up winning the race. Bradley Smith did a similar thing and came home second, his best ever finish in MotoGP. Third was Scott Redding. Also his first time on the podium in the premier class.

But something that makes Scotts third place remarkable is that in lap 6 he fell off the bike! Seriously, how often do you see riders crashing and still make it onto the podium?

Baz was fourth and then Rossi fifth. You might say that this isn’t so good for Rossi? You also got to see that Lorenzo didn’t score any points. Now Rossi leads the championship by 23 points.

Our Aussie battler, Jack Miller finished in 12 after starting in 17th. Well done.
