Week 8, Horizon Goat Challenge

Where is the horizon? Have a look as far as you can see. There it is. It doesn’t need to be flat. Not many things are flat. Even the water isn’t flat. I think by definition the horizon is where the ground meets the sky. Feel free to google it and correct me. I’m sure you can find a better explanation by someone who is a better wordsmith than I am. I just try to wrap words around a topic. This one is Horizon. I put admit, I was tempted to just draw a line and call it. But that would be too simple.

But I was thinking it a bit through. I like winter. Everything seems to be so calm in winter. The sound is different, I just like it. I remember those cold still winter days. You could see forever, or so it seemed. Although in Switzerland there isn’t much of a flat line. You can see one if you head to a lake. But you have to go to the waters edge. There you have it. Early in winter you can see the steam from the water rising. Magic.

SO I thought I send the goat kids somewhere else While I was drawing this one. But in true goat style they noticed I want them out of the picture. So they came back in. I almost didn’t notice. But one was poking its head up to see what I was doing. Cheeky little thing. Now they are in the picture as well. It seems I can’t get rid of them. Then again, why would I? They are cute.

That’s all I have for you today. I better go and do some more sketching for upcoming challenges. Sometimes it’s good to know a few ahead. Then there is less pressure.

Okay, until next week
