Ducati welcomes back Casey Stoner

The Ducati brand has been good for Australian double world champion Casey Stoner. He won his first MotoGP World Championship with Ducati in 2007, if memory serves me right. After a lack of development he fell out with Ducati, but left on good terms. Stoner regained the MotoGP crown for Honda a few years later. Then he retired.

He was under contract with Honda for a few more years, but now he has come back to his family. Ducati welcomed him back. Ducati has struggled a bit recently with their form. They won races but now other championship. With Stoner back in the saddle, this could change. It would be good to see it happening. I have a soft spot for the Italian brand. At the end of the day, the MotoGP machine isn’t a true Ducati I’m my view. It’s a factory racer with an engine that has been specifically built to race. You can argue that you can buy that bike for street use. True, but it had 2 too many cylinders. It’s a V4. But I’m getting technical here.

Right, where were we? That’s right, Casey Stoner back at Ducati. This week we have a preseason testing in Sepang. After that we will see how they all went. I have my doubts that Stoner will be all too fast at his first outing. But I hope he can go for some wildcard rides. Maybe one day he comes back full time. We’re dreaming now.

This cartoon was done mostly on Photoshop again. I always try out new things. This one was a bit of the same. Sketching by hand and scanning, then inking and colouring on a Wacom continue companion. It work quite well of me. I start to get used to these new technologies and make the most of them. The best advise I can give is investing in good digital brushes.
