Catalan MotoGP race won by Rossi

Hello again. It has been a while. But this race in Spain was great. The Catalan GP delivered in all aspects. It was good fought and hard racing. Just the way we like it. Andrea Iannone was the only one to misbehave. He was a bit hot into that corner who was occupied by Jorge Lorenzo. It would have been a super move but it didn’t work. They both ended up in the gravel trap. Lorenzo wasn’t impressed. And it wasn’t Iannone’s first indiscretion. He’s a bit of a wild child.

At the from things were looking better. At first Lorenzo took the lead and it looked like one of those boring races. Something didn’t work for him. He started to fall back. Marquez got him soon and Rossi, who had a relatively scrappy start, came up from behind. Once he go on the tail of Marquez it was on for young and old. Pardon the pun. But it was old Rossi against young Marques. The old fox won. He managed to overtake the youngster and pulled away. They had a pretty good scrap. That’s why I think the Catalan GP was one of the better races.

There were some bad news as well. Moto2 racer Luis Salom has died from an early fall on Fridays Free Practice. That was terrible. It just shows that this sport is dangerous and don’t take it for granted. As a result of that fall the race management altered the course of the layout a little bit. They referred to the Formula one layout, which added an extra couple of corners.

If more races are like this Catalan GP, it will make for an exiting season. What people ask now is if Valentino Rossi can win the championship. I don’t think so. I like him to see it happening bu t personally I don’t think it will happen. Only time will tell.
